The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy seeks applications for a Program Area Manager position in the Competency Assessment Department. The Competency Assessment Department has primary responsibility for the planning, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of NBCOT’s competency assessment products and services. Working with the President/CEO, Managing Director for Competency Assessment, staff, volunteers, and consultants, and the program area manager’s primary responsibilities includes: --Managing and/or assisting staff and volunteers with tasks to support the strategic and operational objectives of the certification renewal requirement for OTR and COTA certificants --Manages the review and revision of all certification renewal publications and announcements --Participating with staff in the review and follow up on disciplinary action matters with certificants. --Serves as the primary contact for certification renewal inquiries and provides in-house training on certification renewal requirements for customer service staff. --Coordinating and managing research and related activities in the competency assessment area, especially those concerning certification renewal --Representing NBCOT at various state, national, regulatory, and credentialing focused meetings. Qualifications: 1) Bachelors Degree in psychology, education or related field, Masters preferred; 2) Proficiency in MS Windows environment; 3) Exceptional English written and oral communications skills; and 4) Ability to work as a team-player, strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
