Description:
Our Chicago office has an opportunity available for an Education and Certification Program Senior Manager responsible for overseeing certification and education programs for our association clients. Responsibilities include program leadership; strategic education/certification plan development; project management for the exam development process; managing and meeting all client education and program needs in a timely and high quality manner. Specific ownership of client relations; managing volunteer committees; developing and integrating client education and certification objectives; management, evaluation and development of direct reports.

Demonstrated Experience:
•Leading the development, maintenance and growth of educational and certification programs, in a manner that complements the client’s strategic goals.
•Managing the development and dissemination of vendor RFPs as necessary and managing vendor relationships as relates to development of valid, reliable and defensible certification programs.
•Managing the development of certification and education plans and budgets leading to the development of education and certification strategies and proposals that anticipate and/or meet a client need.
•Developing certification program policies, procedures and guidelines meeting or exceeding industry standards.
•Leading and managing the identification and use of technology tools and systems to support tracking of client certification data.
•Managing volunteer committees and subject matter experts.
•Overseeing the development of client certification program communication and informational materials.
•Managing client recertification, accreditation and audit processes as necessary.
•Developing an understanding of client(s) and industry in order to contribute new ideas to add value and support client growth.
•Developing client budgets and monitoring financials (monitoring revenue / expense performance, staff time and fees)
•Developing and conducting needs assessments and works with subject matter experts to design, implement and evaluate certification programs and instructional materials.
•Overseeing first-rate customer service, which includes developing and maintaining good customer relationships & credibility while building positive working relationships with clients and client teams.
•Managing staff and setting priorities to maximize productivity, delivery high quality materials and ensuring effective turnaround of projects.
•Allocation of time according to budgets and creation of critical dates and project plans.
•Providing direction on staff orientation and development. Appraising and evaluating individual performance for direct reports.
•Utilizing financial and/or reporting tools to develop and manage client budgets on a day-to-day basis and ensure adherence to budget guidelines and objectives.
•Assessing program effectiveness and ROI; alignment to clients strategic goals; adapt to changing processes and procedures and builds business case for expanding education programs Providing consistent and effective communications with clients and client teams while overseeing the integrity and success of program delivery.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree and 8 years experience in managing certification programs required.
•Instructional design, project management and experience administering CE program(s) preferred.
•Association or association management environment preferred or related experience.
•Minimum 5 years management experience both managing people and budgets
•Solid PC experience (Microsoft Office Suite – including database management experience.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Financial Tracking and budget monitoring and development experience
•Attendance at educational / certification meetings and client meetings with 20% travel.
•Strong proficiency in time management, project management and organizational skills (multiple concurrent tasks).
•High level of detail orientation.
